As we searched for the vacation getaway cabin of our dreams in the Northwoods of WI, we came across way too many examples of properties that had rustic decor, but needed just a tad of updating, cleaning, or downright demolition to be livable. We coined the term “Crustic™” to describe these properties, these rooms, and the overall decor. Remember that these photos are public and were posted to attempt to sell these properties. I See Myself
At first I thought this was an outhouse door with a self portrait. Then I realized I wasn’t sure what I was looking at.
As we searched across the Northwoods of Wisconsin, for for a relaxing cabin in the woods, what we found was the basis for the word we termed as "Crustic." Consider it a healthy amount of crustiness added to a rustic base for a stew of "What were they thinking?" The photos here are from actual real estate listings attempting to sell these treasures.
